The 4 Star 40 bedroom luxury Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa opened in June 2005 and quickly established itself as one of the leading hotels in Donegal, renowned for its character, charm and exceptional service. Located in the heart of the village with panoramic views of Malin Head and the world famous Ballyliffin Golf Club, the hotel has been designed and built to a standard that reflects the beauty and charisma of the local environment. In August 2007, the hotel received official confirmation of its 4 Star Status from Failte Ireland. In November 2009 it was awarded AA 4 Star Status. Our most recent award for 2012 is the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award for the Hotel and Spa Category.
Facilities include all the usual modern conveniences in our guest bedrooms. Jacks Bar and Restaurant offers a gourmet experience for all discerning diners. Our bar food menu offers a combination of freshly prepared home cooked food with a traditional pub atmosphere.
Spa and leisure facilities are located in the basement accessed by an elevator service. The Lodge Leisure Club with 17m pool is a whiteflag awarded leisure facility, the only one of its kind in Inishowen.

Golf
The magnificent links golf courses along the north west coast provides some of the most exhilarating and challenging golf in the world.
The Ballyliffin Lodge Hotel & Spa is the perfect base to sample these delights. The Ballyliffin Golf Club is within 1km of the hotel and boasts two of the finest links courses (36 holes). The Old Links has been redesigned by Nick Faldo and is among the few elite courses that always make the ‘A’ list of discerning golfers from Europe and America.
Other 18 hole courses with 20km of the hotel are the Greencastle Golf Club and the Buncrana Golf Club.
A ferry service provided between Greencastle and Northern Ireland leads you to the magnificent Portstewart Golf Club and Royal Portrush Golf Club portrayed by many golfers as one of the most challenging courses in the world.
